Hi friends,

Happy Monday! Who else had a case of the Sunday scaries!? I know I did. We have had a busy weekend, we started our Saturday by walking the greenway, going to the Farmer’s market, eating some brunch, and then browsed the new shops and restaurants in downtown Alpharetta, followed by a quiet afternoon and dinner with friends. Sunday, we had a late breakfast, ran some errands, caught up on some TV time while Henry napped, I worked out while Henry and daddy got some alone time, and then we are decided what we should get for dinner. If you have been following along, we are re-doing our kitchen, so our house has been a bit of a hot mess. We do not have a running sink at the moment, so no washing dishes for us. Therefore, I may (more like HAVE TO) put in some extra Pure Barre workouts with all the take-out we have been consuming morning, noon, and night. At least the countertops will be in on Tuesday, sink on Wednesday, so we should be back into business by late this week. I can’t wait to share with ya’ll the final product.

Today, I wanted to share a new favorite of mine in downtown Alpharetta. If you are familiar with Alpharetta, the growth happening downtown is incredible. It is becoming a work, eat, play destination. Between the Avalon and now downtown, I don’t think we will ever have to go to Buckhead again 😉 As much as I love Buckhead, the traffic is no joke and I don’t have time like I used to, to spend driving to and from Atlanta, so this mama is thrilled. As a business owner myself, I am thrilled with the growth/expansion and am so excited to support many local businesses moving into this area.

One store in particular that I am so excited about is B. Spectacled. B. Spectacled is an upscale eyeglass boutique with luxury and unique eyewear, comprehensive exams, and individual styling. Immediately when you walk in the doors, you are greeted by professional staff that create a personalized experience catering to your styling needs. I came in for a new pair of eyeglasses and sunglasses, and with the help of Brittany and Val I felt completely at home. Before I knew it, I was trying on frames and found two great pairs. I walked out feeling confident and was completely satisfied from start to finish. They took time to get to know me and picked out several frames based on my face shape and likes and boom, there I was feeling stylish and trendy. I loved that I ended up with frames I normally would not have picked out, but with their individual styling they really took the time to help find the perfect pairs.

Want some history on how they got started?! I never thought you would ask 🙂 The business owner in me loves hearing peoples stories. We can choose to get busy and not care to ask or engage, because lets be honest, life is always going to be busy and continues to get busier and more stressful each day, or we can slow down and ask questions and really communicate with the people we are interacting with. That is what I loved in particular about this family owned eyeglass boutique. Yep, they are family-owned and operated and a mother-daughter duo, to say the least. You know, I love those mother-daughter duos and think there is nothing stronger than some girl power. Brittany grew up surrounded by her parents owning and operating eyeglass boutiques and never really wanted to explore anything different. She found a passion from a young age and frankly has an incredible gift in this industry and gives every customer nothing but exceptional customer service. Brittany and her family have been fixtures in the Alpharetta community for 8 years and cannot wait to continue to serve as they become a big assest in the downtown market. It was her mother and herself that decided to expand their business venture and thought no better than to bring their boutique to downtown Alpharetta. Brittany even designed the space herself and let me tell ya’ll it is gorgeous!! The sleek and modern space with a side of feminine flair is the perfect destination to make you feel comfortable while receiving the best experience possible. Whether you come in for an exam or individual styling, you will not leave disappointed. They are open Monday-Friday 9AM-6PM and Saturdays from 9AM-1PM.

Some brands they carry:
Anne & Valentin
Tom Ford
Oliver Peoples
Costa del Mar
Ray Ban

Be sure to join them for their Grand Opening Party, July 27th! It will be a day filled with fun, treats, and prizes! A little birdie told me, some free Pure Barre classes may be one of the prizes 😉

You can also check them out by heading to their website here.

I hope you enjoyed today’s post and a huge thank you to the lovely ladies at B. Spectacled for allowing me to share their wonderful business! If you are local, I hope you find time to go in and meet these wonderful people and welcome them to the neighborhood! You can find my sunglasses there, along with, my new eyeglasses which you will be seeing soon on several other posts!

Henry and I have a long check list today. We are preparing for a lot of Pop-up classes for Pure Barre in Roswell and Alpharetta and get to welcome my sweet Grandpa back home from the hospital. It has been a rough few weeks, as my Grandpa underwent quadruple bypass surgery, but we cannot wait to welcome him back home. We bought him this for a welcome home gift and cannot wait to give it to him. It is a picture frame that I can automatically sync pictures via an app and they automatically show up on the frame. We thought it would be a fun way to share memories and allow him to have a quiet time of reflecting, smiling, and laughing as he recovers over the next 6 months. Well, we have so much to do and so little time, so us crazies are signing off. Until next time, sweet friends!
