The Spa at Chateau Elan
Hi ya’ll, Happy Saturday! Who else loves a good spa day? I don’t know about y’all, but there is nothing better than getting pampered. I had the privilege to spend the day at the Spa at Chateau Elan in Braselton, Ga. The property includes vineyards, a winery, hotel, spa/fitness center and horse grounds. A fun blast from the past, I used to ride horses and had horse shows here ALL the time, so it was fun to go back and enjoy a different trip at this beautiful resort.
As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by the nicest staff members and prompted to check in. The lobby was stunning with lots of cozy and spacious seating and a big/open fireplace. The lobby also included a quaint boutique shop, casual restaurant, and light refreshments that guests could grab as they come and go. Since our appointments did not start until 10AM, we had an hour to spare. We decided to start the day with a 9AM Yoga Flow class before going onto our spa treatments. As a Pure Barre owner and avid Pure Barre junkie (taking/teaching classes daily!), a good stretch session was exactly what I needed. It felt amazing to slow the body down and focus on stretching those sore muscles. I don’t know about y’all, but my personality is always GO, GO, GO, so I always rush through stretching and never stop to take a moment and breathe (really ever!). This class was a great reminder to slow down and stretch it out. After feeling like a bowl of jello, it was 10AM and we were off to our appointments. My first appointment was a manicure. Yes, I know the last thing some people want to do when they are at the spa is get their nails and toes done, especially when they can go somewhere close by to them, but this mama had two hands and was ready for her sad nails to get a little TLC. It is SO hard to take a 7 month old to the nail salon. I shouldn’t say it is so hard, it is impossible. Thank goodness for my sweet nail technician, she had my nails looking fabulous in no time. This was hands down the BEST manicure I have ever had. I opted for the gel manicure, because lets be honest here, I need these nails to last as long as possible. By the time I was done, my hands felt like butter. After the manicure was done, off to the hot tub we went. Okay, I know there is nothing special about sitting in a hot tub, but I did not have my 7 month old and had time to actually sit and relax without a worry in the world. Needless to say, it was the best. After I soaked for about 25 minutes, it was off to my next appointment. I decided to go for the Hydra-facial since I have never had one of these before and have heard amazing things about them. I mean, treat yourself right?! Here is there description of the Hydra-Facial: The Hydra-Facial MD is a medical grade resurfacing procedure that uses award-winning patented technology. It is the ultimate non-invasive treatment that detoxifies, rejuvenates, and protects your skin for immediate results and long term benefits without downtime or irritation. The patented Vortex-Fusion serum delivery system and HydroPeel Tips truly are what set the HydraFacial MD apart from other procedures. The multi-step treatment utilizes this technology to cleanse, exfoliate, and extract to remove impurities and dead skin cells while replenishing vital nutrients including antioxidants, peptides, and hyaluronic acid. These performing ingredients help mitigate environmental damage, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and plump and firm skin for long-term results you can see and feel instantly. Okay enough of the terminology that probably bored you, but seriously……..it was amazing. Besides it feeling like a vacuum cleaner sucking on my face, it was extremely relaxing. The best part is the results though. Let me tell you the results are amazing. I feel like I have been glowing since I have walked out of it. Yes, this facial is extremely pricey, BUT it was totally worth it. I spoke with my esthetician and she said she recommends the Hydrafacial 2-3 times per year for maintenance. I will definitely be adding this to my beauty regimen after seeing what is did to my skin. My skin feels moisturized and free of all the dead skin and impurities. Needless to say, this girl is one happy mama. After we concluded our treatments, off to lunch we went. They have a beautiful restaurant overlooking the water, but after not having breakfast we opted to go to their Irish pub on the property called, Paddys. The atmosphere is great with lots of tables and a nice bar. I don’t know if the spa treatments made us extra hungry, but we chowed down. I mean did not come up for air kinda chowed down.
Takeaways from the Spa at Chateau Elan:
-I will definitely go back
-I would choose another day to come other than a Saturday, as it was really busy
-The staff and facility could not have been better
-Great products and food
Needless to say, I left with a happy heart and happy belly!
